Photojournalism of protests
More than 60,000 frames, made across the Midwest and beyond — at protests, vigils, and the quiet moments in between. The work begins in the late Winter 2017 in Bemidji, Minnesota and continues to Berkeley, California in the Spring of 2026.
These photographs document how a community responded to Operation Metro Surge: the people who showed up, the memorial rebuilt every time it was cleared, the streets where grief and resolve shared the same sidewalk.
